What is an Integrated Child Center?

Integrated Child Center:

At an Integrated Child Center (IKC), childcare, education, and after-school care work closely together at one location with the goal of creating a continuous learning pathway for children from 0 to 13 years old.

At IKC Sloterdijk, this means we work with one team, one identity, and one vision on learning, development, and collaboration.

Instead of focusing on age or grade level, we take the development and growth of the child as our starting point. To support this, we offer a rich daily program, experiential learning, learning through discovery, open spaces and themed classrooms, mixed-age groups, learning at individual levels, and living and working in a community.
