Together for your child
At IKC Sloterdijk, working together with parents is essential. Every child is different and customized guidance for your child is therefore important. Because you know your child very well, we continue to talk to you about your child and his or her development and growth.
Insight into growth
In practice, this means that we intensively involve you as parents in the development of your child.
Three times a year, we have a progress interview with you, your child and the pedagogical employee or teacher. We start with this at the daycare and we seamlessly transfer this to the primary school.
The development of your child is visible in the student portfolio. This portfolio is temporarily taken home, so that your child can proudly show and explain it to others.
Bringing into the classroom
It has been proven that actively involved parents contribute to the development of their child. That is why you are very welcome in the classroom every day from 8:30 to 8:45. Your guidance to the classroom eases the transition from home to school in the morning and ensures that your child starts the day well.
Is the group starting? Then the doors of our living room are open for you.
What else do you do?
Our team is experienced and knowledgeable. But there are subjects that other students can tell and learn more about than we can. That is why we are always curious about what else you do, besides being a parent?
What are your talents and interests, what are you good at or what do you know a lot about?
Our thematic learning and the theme rooms offer plenty of space for guest lessons and workshops that can be given by parents and other people from the environment of your child and the school. Feel free to talk to us about this, we are very open to it because these contributions are an enrichment of the curriculum and an opportunity for even more connection with each other.
This is how we stay in touch with you
In addition to the moments that we meet each other ‘live’, we will keep you informed about the ins and outs of our IKC via an app. You will also be in direct contact with your child’s teacher or supervisor and with other parents from your child’s group via this app.
